Alocasia reginula 'Black Velvet Pink' Variegated TC Plantlet is among the rarest Alocasias ever offered in commerce. The standard Black Velvet is already prized for its dark charcoal-black velvety leaves and bright white veins—the Pink variegated form adds extraordinary blush-pink to rose variegation on top of this already spectacular canvas. As a tissue culture plantlet, this is a very young, laboratory-propagated specimen and requires careful acclimation.TC ACCLIMATION: Upon arrival, place in a high-humidity enclosure (humidity dome, propagation box, or clear bag) at 75–85% humidity for 3–5 weeks. Gradually reduce humidity over time to acclimate to normal indoor conditions.LIGHT: Bright indirect light. Do not expose to direct sun, especially during acclimation. WATER: Keep lightly moist—not saturated. TC plantlets are extremely sensitive to root rot. Use a very well-draining, sterile aroid mix. HUMIDITY: 70–85% during acclimation, tapering to 60–75% once established. FERTILIZER: Do not fertilize for 4–6 weeks. Once established, apply quarter-to-half-strength balanced fertilizer every 2–4 weeks. TEMPERATURE: 68–86°F. Warmth is critical during establishment.
