Alocasia Zebrina is a showstopping tropical houseplant celebrated not just for its large, glossy, arrowhead-shaped green leaves but for its incredibly distinctive stems (petioles), which are boldly marked with dark green and pale cream zebra-stripe patterns. The striped stems are unlike virtually any other common houseplant.LIGHT: Bright indirect light. The large leaves need good light but should be protected from harsh direct sun. WATER: Keep soil evenly moist during the growing season. Reduce watering in winter. Ensure excellent drainage. HUMIDITY: 60–80%. Higher humidity helps prevent browning of the large leaf edges. FERTILIZER: Balanced liquid fertilizer every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer. TEMPERATURE: 65–85°F; protect from cold and frost.
