Anthurium dorayaki is a charming and increasingly popular collector's Anthurium from Borneo, named for its distinctively round, almost circular velvety dark green leaves with prominent pale venation. The compact, symmetrical leaf shape is highly unusual in the genus and makes it immediately recognizable.
LIGHT: Bright indirect light. The round, velvety leaves are adapted for dappled forest light.
WATER: Allow top 1–2 inches to dry between waterings. Use a very well-draining chunky aroid mix.
HUMIDITY: 65–85%. High humidity is important for this Bornean species; low humidity causes browning of the velvety leaf margins.
FERTILIZER: Half-strength balanced fertilizer every 2–4 weeks in growing season.
TEMPERATURE: 65–85°F; keep consistently warm.
TOXICITY: Toxic to humans, cats, and dogs.
