Anthurium villenaorum is a magnificent Peruvian species producing some of the largest, most velvety, most heavily corrugated leaves of any Anthurium in cultivation. The enormous, dark forest-green leaves with a deeply puckered, almost suede-like texture and striking pale venation rival regale for sheer presence and grandeur.LIGHT: Bright indirect light is essential to support the large, energy-intensive leaf production. WATER: Allow top 1–2 inches to dry between waterings. Use a very coarse, well-draining aroid mix. HUMIDITY: 65–85%. Consistently high humidity is critical for healthy development of the enormous, velvet leaves. FERTILIZER: Half-strength balanced or nitrogen-heavy fertilizer every 2–4 weeks during active growth. TEMPERATURE: 65–85°F; this Peruvian rainforest species needs consistent warmth.
