Bird's Nest Fern (Asplenium nidus) is a beautiful, easy-care epiphytic fern with broad, strap-like, glossy bright green fronds that emerge from a central nest-like rosette. Unlike many ferns, it does not have delicate, feathery fronds—making it more tolerant of lower humidity and easier to care for indoors.LIGHT: Tolerates low to medium indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which burns the fronds. WATER: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water around the base of the rosette—do not pour water directly into the center nest, which can cause rot. HUMIDITY: Prefers 60–80%. Benefits from a pebble tray or nearby humidifier. FERTILIZER: Diluted balanced fertilizer every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer. TEMPERATURE: 60–80°F; protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F.
