Rhaphidophora korthalsii, the Shingle Plant, is one of the most fascinating and unusual climbing aroids—in its juvenile stage, it grows leaves that press completely flat against its climbing surface (a tree trunk or moss pole), creating a 'shingled' effect like overlapping roof tiles. As it matures with sufficient climbing height, the leaves begin to develop and stand away from the support.
LIGHT: Medium to bright indirect light. Providing a textured climbing surface (rough board, coco fiber, tree fern) encourages natural shingling behavior.
WATER: Allow top inch to dry between waterings. HUMIDITY: 55–75%; elevated humidity encourages healthy climbing growth.
FERTILIZER: Balanced fertilizer every 4 weeks in growing season.
TEMPERATURE: 65–85°F.
TOXICITY: Toxic to humans, cats, and dogs.

Shipping rates are based on the packed weight of your order (plants + soil + pot + box + insulation). This helps us cover the real cost of getting breakable, living things safely to you.
In cold weather, we strongly recommend adding a Heat Pack add-on for each shipment. Heat packs are priced separately and add additional weight to your box.
